2ND WIFE: Sarah (Howe) Walker, widow of Levi Walker, married JUL 4, 1782, Brookfield, Worcester Co., MA.
EPITAPH: Erected in memory of Mr Jonathan Moore who died Aug 10th 1786 in the 54th year of his age. Here I lye, And rest my head, Till Christ appears, And rais the dead.
BURIAL: Jonathan Moore is buried at the Brookfield Cemetery, next to his 2nd wife Sarah (Howe) Walker Moore. They are both buried on the far right side of the cemetery, under a very large pine tree. They both have matching headstones, roughly hewn out of gray slate. The inscriptions are still legible as of 2006, but are difficult to read. Wife Sarah's headstone has some flaking off the front, and has some evidence of a primitive repair. The design at the top of both include a head, surrounded by a leaf motiff on either side. This stone and the one for his wife Sarah were carved by William Young, of Worcester.
